Queen Elizabeth II at The Bayshore

To commemorate the long reign of Queen Elizabeth II, Dennis Forristal reached back some 30 plus years into his memory bank.

The year was 1983 and the guests, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip were being hosted
by the then Prime Minster of Canada, Rt. Hon Pierre Elliott Trudeau [see earlier news item on his diving proess] at The Bayshore.

According to Denis Forristal Her Majesty made an interesting observation as he was escorting them to the International Suite, where she was going to be introduced to the head table before the State Dinner!

On the elevator was the frame advertising, the St Francis Hotel. The Queen turned to Prince Phillip and said "oh look Phillip there is the hotel we stayed at in San Francisco" !

At the time this photo was taken the Queen was asking Denis if she could have 2 mints placed on her pillow!
